Several years ago I read a quote that has stayed with me …."Most people have no idea how good their body can feel,” and the last few months have solidified this belief. I was living back in my home town for five months and while I saw things are slowly shifting for the better, I missed what I had here in Colorado. I quickly came to realize that Vail is home and will always have my heart. It was time to head back and I couldn’t get here fast enough. I love Vail for many reasons, but the number one being the all-encompassing healthy lifestyle.
As a Colorado girl hailing from the mid-west where deteriorating health, poor diet, sedentary lifestyle, is the norm, I was enlightened to a lifestyle so opposite the first time I visited Colorado. Health and fitness are a way of life. I wanted to live the Vail lifestyle. This eventually prompted me to make the move.
In Vail, I have found a great community that constantly strives to be better than they were yesterday. Everyone is out living and enjoying life and age is truly just a number. It's common to cross paths with somebody in their sixties, out hiking a 14er. Many people in their seventies have a gym membership so they can train for all that life brings and the hobbies they enjoy. Families are out on a bike ride, friends spend the day skiing.
There is ENERGY!

We want positive social pressures that help us act in line with the best version of ourselves.” I believe that is an important component to what makes living a healthy lifestyle a long term success.
